Senigallia the Adriatic Pearl

Senigallia, in the Marche region, where the sea and the hills come together and form a unique and genuine landscape

Summer Jamboree The Hotel Perla is in Senigallia, the "Pearl of the Adriatic" and Senigallia is in the heart of the Marche region that can offer a great variety of attractions. Senigallia hosts many summer events of international importance: the Caterraduno in June, with all the staff of the radio programme Caterpillar, the European Music Festival, also in June, with internationally renowned artists, and one of the most famous festival of 1950's music and culture in the world, the Summer Jamboree. Furthermore, close to Senigallia there are beautiful medieval places almost intact, including Corinaldo, Gradara, (a fortress which became the background for a tragic love story between Paolo and Francesca), San Leo and Urbino that holds the UNESCO assistance as one of the places on the World Heritage List. Beautiful natural landscapes such as le Grotte di Frasassi, an entire day between art and nature, and the Conero Riviera especially Portonovo, Sirolo and Numana that combine exclusive clubs with fantastic landascapes.

Monte ConeroThe Senigallia inland is a wonderful land consisting of castles, villages and hills covered with wheat and valuable grape vines, as la Lacrima di Morro D'Alba or Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. The countries that you should visit are Corinaldo, Ostra and Ostra Vetere, Serra de Conti, Arcevia and Jesi, Morro D'Alba and San Marcello but there are many others, all medieval villages and castles where there are lots of events including "Notte Bianca" or historical Festival.

The Monte Conero is located between Ancona and Sirolo. The mountain offers different routes, for exemple the Passo del Lupo, a journey so difficult (for trained people) how wonderful. You do not need to be a climber but of course you need proper hiking equipment, physical strength (the walk takes at least 2/3 hours) and courage because in some places you go up with a restraining steel cable, only a few meters, but if you suffer from vertigos is better not to take risks. Also on the Monte Conero you can book a riding or a guided tour.

In Senigallia during summer there are many festivals, from the sea to the hills you can taste typical Marche food and local wines like Verdicchio, Rosso Conero and Lacrima di Morro D'Alba. In the evening, the promenade and the the city center liven with music.
